MADRID:

botanical gardens in Madrid. check out Chris's outfit...it was his basic uniform for the whole trip.

so photogenic.

i got this guys number.

this is at the square we went and hung out at until around 1 or 2 in the morning just sitting and having drinks and tapas and people watching. it was my favorite part of madrid.

view from our hotel room.

typical.

Madrid's post office with the Madrid 2012 Olympic stuff on it. Madrid was another candidate city for the 2012 olympics but lets face it they didnt have a chance....they didnt even have a campaign slogan.

im better looking than chris.
Pamplona and the running of the bulls!!!!

</span>we didnt realize until after we stored our luggage and got into town that EVERYBODY dresses up for this festival. so we bought the waist sashes so it looked like we were at least trying.

seriously there were even dogs and babies dressed up.

chrurros!!! this was at the fair on one side of town, it had the sketchiest carnival rides i have ever seen.

off the city's main square (where there was a dance floor and crazy african band playing til 4am) there were all these street performers...these dudes were playing two by fours pretty much. they actually had a city. also on these side streets were random impromptu parades and weird games that locals just sort of set up to make money, like pay this guy money to try to shoot a goal on him and if you make it you get a bottle of champagne. pretty sweet.

sangria!!! everybody was either walking around with a 40 in their hands or a bottle of wine. the amount of alcohol comsumed over that one night is probably insane.

we went back to the fair. this cotton candy may look like a delicious treat but it tasted really weird....like tap water or something.

this is at about 4am...people were sleeping in the ATM booth. chris and i actually didnt have a place to stay in pamplona, we just arrived for the night but you dont need a hotel because everybody stays up partying until the running of the bulls at 8am. so i dont know why these lightweights were sleeping.

at 5am these drunks dudes insisted on taking a picture with us.

the running of the bulls the next morning. they have a 4 minute run through the city on a blocked off course and they end up in the stadium.

the bulls run out and the bottom of the stadium fills up with the runners. then they release a smaller bull with cloth over its horns and people just try to dodge it. very entertaining.

the running of the bulls was the funnest experience of the trip and one of the funnest nights of my life. its really amazing and if you ever have a the chance its extremely worth it.
Barcelona

after the one day we spent shopping in Barcelona, we hung out in this really pretty park.

this crazy huge fountain leads up to the park's aquarium

i wanted to get a boat but all the empty ones were out in the middle of the water.

there was also a huge Baci tournament going on, these guys were so good. we shoudl start playing here.
like i said before Spain was our absolute favorite country, i had no idea what it woould be like. it was one of the only countries on our trip that i feel like i really got a feel for their culture.
